The Buffalo Cafe - Whitefish, MT

This review PAINS me to write. In my beautiful town of Whitefish, you want to expect better from your neighborhood café. But I can’t lie to you; This was a true one out of five. 

Let’s start with the obvious: the presentation. This was not it. One slab of Canadian bacon carelessly thrown across two pieces of English muffin… NO! I should mention that I have eaten this classic eggs Benedict at the Buffalo Café many times before, and today’s showing was, quite frankly, appalling.

The egg yolk had a nice run to it, I’ll give them that! But the hollandaise sauce? I was confused because it had the consistency of egg yolk, and, I should mention, completely lacked flavor. Zero points here. 

Sure, the English muffin was fine. But the redeeming quality of a classic eggs Benedict will never be the English muffin. I don’t make the rules. This is simply how it is.

I'll be back because this is 1 of 3 breakfast spots in town, and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a better performance.
